Enter your height, width and weight. PickRoute includes them in route requests and checks the restrictions reported by its routing provider.

02 / YOUR OPTIONS

Give narrow roads a thought.

Compare routes using available width observations. With the preference enabled, PickRoute can look for additional alternatives around observed narrow sections.

03 / YOUR JOURNEY

Keep the next turn in view.

Follow spoken directions, see traffic-aware arrival estimates and get warnings for mapped cameras along your route. Availability varies by location.

Road data has gaps. Vehicle profiles do not provide complete HGV restriction coverage or guarantee that every road is suitable.

PickRoute is available on Android and continues to improve. Here’s what to know before you set off.

Can I download PickRoute?

Yes. Download PickRoute UK for Android on Google Play. The store page shows availability and compatibility for your device. iPhone availability will be announced separately on this site.

Will it avoid every narrow road?

No. PickRoute can only compare the width information available for a route. Missing information is shown as unknown, and an alternative may not be available. Route choice still needs your judgement and attention to road signs.

Are all cameras and speed limits included?

No. Records can be incomplete or out of date. PickRoute does not have a comprehensive live feed for temporary cameras or variable speed limits. Always follow the signs on the road.

Does navigation work offline?

You can download maps for browsing. Searching for places and calculating new routes need an internet connection. Full offline navigation is not available.

Where is road information available?

Current local testing focuses on South Wales, including the Cardiff, Bridgend and Cowbridge area. The regional data pilot includes Wales, Somerset, Bristol and Gloucestershire. Width, restriction and camera information have different coverage.
