Use while driving

Plan and adjust routes only when it is safe to do so. Follow road signs, traffic law, local restrictions and the conditions you can see. A displayed route, speed limit or camera alert is information to assist you; it does not authorise entry onto a restricted or unsuitable road.

Vehicle dimensions and road suitability

Enter your actual vehicle dimensions and weight. PickRoute checks the restriction and width information available to it, but that information can be missing, incomplete or out of date. An unknown road width does not mean a road is wide. The app does not provide complete certified HGV routing, and a route without a warning is not a guarantee of clearance or access.

Data coverage and connectivity

Camera, traffic, closure, narrow-road and restriction coverage varies. New or temporary conditions may not be present. Online search and new route calculations require an internet connection. Downloaded regions support offline map browsing; full offline navigation is not included.

Maps, licences and exports

Map and road information belongs to its respective rights holders. Keep visible attributions, including on exported maps. Settings → Data Sources and the map information control identify data providers; Settings → Open-source licences lists software acknowledgements. Permission to use the app does not transfer ownership of the underlying map datasets.

Privacy and support

Read the privacy policy in Settings for how location, online services and diagnostics are used. Contact support to report a problem with the app or road information. These terms do not remove any statutory consumer rights. The release terms will be updated before any paid service is offered.

Saved searches and availability

Online searches and newly calculated routes depend on connectivity and provider availability. A saved search may need to be searched again, and matching results can change. Check the destination you select. Usage limits can prevent a new search or recalculation; the app should tell you when that happens. Do not depend on the app as your only means of finding your way.

Changes and consumer rights

Features may change during beta testing. Report faults using the contact above. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer rights. If paid services are introduced, their price and additional terms will be presented before purchase.
